Gayle Berthiaume

@gberthiaume Apple Distinguished Educator, Sony Education Ambassador, Microsoft Innovative Educator, Scholastic Teacher Mentor and Tech Tutor, Inspiration's Inspired As an author, Apple Distinguished Educator, Sony Education Ambassador, CUE Lead Learner and with a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Gayle Berthiaume’s vast knowledge of both curriculum and technology makes her a well-respected leader in the educational technology field.

Gayle has authored a book “Using an iPad With Your Preschooler”. She has also authored and edited several curriculum resources for Apple, Scholastic, Sesame Workshop, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, and StoryQuest Institute.

As owner of Gayle Berthiaume Consulting, LLC and co-owner of Suddenly It Clicks!, Gayle provides consulting, training, coaching, and curriculum development. Gayle is an extremely innovative and resourceful person who enjoys sharing her ideas through presentations, webinars and workshops with teachers around the world.

A teacher unafraid to try new things, Sara Collins piloted multiple technologies in her middle grades Language Arts classroom. As a faculty member of the Florida Demonstration School for Technology, Sara learned the value of trying new things. Her piloting experiences include using iPads, MacBooks, iPod Touches, Moodle, and too many Web 2.0 tools to count. Her classroom was regularly visited by groups of teacher-leaders interested in bringing a 1 to 1 environment to their schools. Sara has served as a technology integration trainer in 1 to 1 pilots for her district and Apple. She has also spoken on panels at FETC and ISTE. Now Sara serves as a middle school Techbrarian using her knowledge to train teachers on digital curriculum and instruction. She believes education should be fun and interesting. Her motto: If I don't want to do this, why would my students?

Passionate. Patient. Funny. All things said about me at some point. I am currently in my fourth year in education and have taught students from grades 3 through 12. In addition, I am now a Grades 5-8 technology training specialist who has rekindled a trust and value for technology in a district that has been burned in the past. At 26 years old, I am one of the youngest Google Certified Teachers and Google Education Trainers ever! Looking at what I've accomplished so far, I know that the sky is the limit for me in making the big changes we need to make for education. Our students need us to be awesome, so let's be awesome!

Rushton Hurley

@rushtonh GCT Rushton Hurley has worked and studied on three continents as a high school Japanese language teacher, principal of an online high school, a teacher trainer, and a speaker. He founded and is executive director of the educational nonprofit Next Vista for Learning, which houses a free library of videos by and for teachers and students at http://NextVista.org. Rushton holds masters degrees in Education and East Asian Studies from Stanford University.

Andy Losik has been teaching for 20 years in a variety of elementary school settings. For fourteen of those years, he has taught the elementary Infotech program by combining technology and literacy skills in Hamilton, Michigan.

Along with his classroom duties, Andy serves as a technology coach and integration specialist in his school district and across the country for private, public, and charter schools. He has also provided insight for companies like Disney, Sifteo, and most recently helped with Sony’s tablets in education initiative.

Dr. Holly Ludgate has been working in the field of education, instructional design, technology, and online learning for the past 13 years. This passion for blending education with cutting-edge technology led her to pursue a doctoral degree from Pepperdine University where her research focused on gaming immersion in educational settings and fostering 21st century skills through Quest Atlantis. In 2007, Dr. Ludgate became program director at Full Sail University where she launched the online Education Media Design and Technology Master's degree program. Currently, she is the Senior Director for Program Development of the New Media Consortium (NMC), an international not-for-profit focused on sparking innovation and creativity in learning.

John Shoemaker is an Educational Technology Specialist in the Department of Educational Technology in The School District of Palm Beach County, the 11th largest school district in the United States. John has many roles as he supports the over 13,000 teachers and over 185,000 students in district. He is the facilitator of Project SMaRT, a Technology Initiative in the school district. He is in charge of Edmodo training and support for the entire School District. He also provides support and training to the over 185 schools on iPad and Mac integration. He is the co-facilitator of eMobilize, an Apple Distinguished Program from 2012-2015. Finally, John is a consultant and co-founder of Education with Innovation, a group of teachers teaching teachers and administrators how to integrate technology into the classroom.
